AlysonLeach works from the technique "mixed media "Her method is a unique way of blending various materials together to produce vibrant colours and textures. She devised this particular technique whilst studying at Oldham College and then at Bradford Univesity. Statement  'As a child,I can remember looking into a hot coal fire,and in my imagination i would see caves, castles, perhaps animals, and all of these things I would weave into stories and dreams. My hope is that my work mirrors these feelings and encourages the viewer to look and to interpret what he or she sees, and to imagine their own stories or scenarios within the image.

My subjects vary from still life, architectual influences to

landscape and abstract work, but with colour and texture being the main denominator. If imagination and story building are inspired by my work, and the viewer feels part of the creative proccess I think that my work has been successful'.
