Born in northern England, Deena has worked for 18 years as a freelance Production Designer and Manager. In recent years she met her mentor David Vaughan (60’s psychodelia artist) who gave her the motivation to concentrate more fully on her career as an artist.

On the whole her work could be described as ‘Outsider art', preferring her stimulus to come from the emotional, organic and spiritual rather than visual aspects of life.

At present she is working on a range of spiritual pictures inspired by her favourite artist Susan Seddon Boulet with an exhibition coming up in August 2007at the Uppermill Museum.
